Organizations & Workspaces

Your organization is your team's home in 42Cells. Everything is scoped to your organization:

• Notebooks
• Database connections
• Semantic layers
• Team members

Inviting Team Members

1. Go to Settings → Team
2. Click Invite Member
3. Enter their email address
4. They'll receive an invitation link

Pending invitations appear in your sidebar and can be cancelled if needed.

Member Roles

Role	Permissions
Owner	Full access, billing, delete organization
Admin	Manage members, connections, settings
Member	Create and edit notebooks, use connections
Viewer	View notebooks (coming soon)

Notebook Visibility

Notebooks can be:

• Private — Only you can see it
• Public — All organization members can view and edit

Set visibility when creating a notebook or change it later from notebook settings.

Shared Connections

Database connections are organization-wide. Set them up once, use everywhere.

Shared Semantic Layers

Use clear naming conventions: [Team] - [Topic] - [Description]

Document Your Work

Add markdown cells explaining your analysis for teammates.

Pin Semantic Versions

Lock notebooks to specific semantic layer versions for reproducibility.

Use Descriptive Names

For connections, semantic layers, and metrics — future you will thank you.
