AI Credits

AI credits cover your agent usage. Each plan includes monthly credits per seat:

  • Professional: $10/seat/month
  • Team: $20/seat/month
  • Enterprise: $50/seat/month

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle.

How Usage is Calculated

When you use the AI agent, we track token usage and convert it to cost:

  • Input tokens: Text you send to the agent
  • Output tokens: Agent responses and reasoning
  • Cache hits: Repeated context is cached at 90% discount

Usage appears in Settings → Billing with breakdowns by user, notebook, and model.

On-Demand Usage

If you run out of included credits, on-demand billing kicks in:

  1. Enable on-demand in Settings → Billing
  2. Set a spending cap (default $50/month)
  3. Usage beyond included credits is charged to your card

On-demand charges are collected at $50 thresholds or at the end of your billing cycle.

Seat-Based Billing

Paid plans charge per active team member (seat).

Adding Members

When you invite a new member:

  • Seat is added immediately
  • Prorated charge for the remainder of the billing cycle
  • They get their own AI credit allocation

Removing Members

When you remove a member:

  • Seat count updates at the end of the billing cycle
  • No mid-cycle refund (prevents gaming)
  • Their unused credits don't transfer

Enterprise Minimum

Enterprise plans require a minimum of 10 seats.

Managing Your Subscription

Go to Settings → Billing to:

  • View current plan and usage
  • Upgrade or downgrade plans
  • Manage payment methods
  • Access invoices and billing history

Upgrading

Upgrades take effect immediately. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to your current plan's features until then.

Enterprise Features

Enterprise includes everything in Team, plus:

  • SAML SSO — Single sign-on with your identity provider
  • Directory Sync (SCIM) — Auto-provision users from Okta, Azure AD, etc.
  • Audit Logs — Track all activity across your organization
  • Priority Support — Dedicated support channel
  • Custom SLA — Uptime guarantees

Usage Visibility

For Admins

Admins can see organization-wide usage:

  • Total AI spend vs. included credits
  • Per-user breakdown
  • Usage by notebook and semantic layer
  • Daily and monthly trends

For Members

Members can see their own usage in the billing dashboard.

FAQs

What happens if I hit my credit limit?

If you have on-demand enabled, usage continues and charges to your card. If not, the agent will pause until your credits reset or you enable on-demand.

Can I get a refund for unused credits?

Credits don't roll over or refund. They reset each billing cycle.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your paid period.
